Novel, high sensitivity Thermal Imaging Technologies, developed and patented by TechElan, open a new opportunity for high throughput monitoring of binding dynamics in chemical and biochemical research.

A ratiometric analysis of exothermal and endothermal signatures of binding interactions in an array format provides a powerful tool for parallel decoding of various structural and functional interactions, which historically were performed using individual calorimetric chambers for each of the interactions.

Two novel methods of investigating thermal signatures are offered.

Method I.

The new type of gold plated micro-titer plates, with special thermal radiation (IR) reflecting and concentrating capability were developed for monitoring proteins-ligand binding interaction signatures in a high throughput screening ( HTS ) mode.

These plates can be used for direct and immediate monitoring of various exothermic (and endothermic) reactions.

 

 

 

 

 

Method II.

An array of Infrared (IR) transmitting optic fibers provides an opportunity for the parallel monitoring of thermal (IR) signatures from hundreds of separate reaction sites.
